2009 : Year in Review

We are very proud to announce that we have been voted the 2nd 'Best Unsigned Band' of 2009 by the readers of Terrorizer Magazine!

This is the 3rd time we have made the list and are so proud to of made it into the top 3! I haven't got the full list to hand at the moment but no doubt it will filter through soon enough, not had a chance to pick up a copy as of yet!



Thankyou to anyone and everyone that have voted for us, come to a show and bought some merch this year, it all helps! :)

The team at Metal Invasion Radio in France have voted our new L.P 'DISPOSABLE SUFFERING' as CD of the week!

They played the tracks 'Disposable Suffering', 'Band of Brothers' and 'The Company'!

The review has been badly translated but reads more or less the following:

"After the vague N.W.O.B.H.M which struck us in the Eighties, England sends another wave to us: that of a new generation of Groups of Thrash Metal.

After EVILE last week, I will share with you a discovery Thrash Métal which undoubtedly will become a large size in the years to come.

The group bears the name of SEREGON; they have just left a new album which carries the title of “Disposable Suffering”. In fact, it is about minis - LP but which altogether remains quite complete.

SEREGON come us from Bristol-board in Anglettre and was formed in 2005 by James Moore (Vocals) and Alex Hagues (Guitar).

If you appreciated EVILE and his “Infected Nation”, you also will hang on this “Disposable Suffering” of SEREGON which in the same one is lined… Of Trash way Old School, sometimes tinted Death but with melodies and of very good fronts. Force is to note that its p' tits Jeuns Trasher puts full the ears of them to us during all this “Disposable Suffering”, been used by a production as quality and large sound.

All the instrument are audible and the quality of the musicians is not to call into question quite to the contrary.

What is surprising, it is their level for a formed group there is also little whereas the old groups spent Years to arrive at this level. But it seems to me that it is specific to this new generation of Métaleux…

Trash and good, to put between Kreator and Slayer good time, even Sepultura, for the influences.

SEREGON very known in our is not countered yet but it is strong to bet that the group will make party of large in a few Years! And this “Disposable Suffering” is to be had in its Métallique discotheque."

Where to start? The last 2 weeks have seen some real up's and down's...



On Monday the 5th of October, Mike Alexander of Evile passed away while on tour in Sweden. Seregon have had the pleasure of playing with Evile on a few occasions and to have this happen to one of the nicest people i've ever met through the UK Thrash scene is such a waste.

When asked by the UK’s TERRORIZER Magazine how he felt and why SEREGON have taken so many opportunities to help Mike’s family, SEREGON’S James Moore said:

“The main reason as to why we are doing everything we can is simple, the UK Thrash scene is a big family and families need to stick together and look after one another. After playing with Evile a few times, Mike instantly made you feel like you had been friends for years and I can find comfort in knowing the last time we spent time together was having a blast at Bloodstock with friends all around. Mike and Evile raised the bar for unsigned Thrash bands like us as well as hold the door open and help many of us through, for that we are truly grateful. We will miss you Mike, Love and Bruises. James.”

Mike was always a true gentleman and like I said before, hands down the nicest person and most friendliest that i've met through the UK Thrash circuit, R.I.P Mike.

To celebrate the release of our new EP 'Disposable Suffering' we will be holding a CD Release Party @ Yate Community Centre in Yate, Nr. Bristol, UK on Friday 30th October.



A charity raffle was already set to take place but due to the tragic events of 05/10/09 all proceeds made from the raffle and door sales after costs will go to the family of late EVILE Bassist Mike Alexander.

And here we are then, back in Blighty and back to reality! The last 2 weeks have been a bit of a blur, 7 flights, 3 airports, to many beers consumed to count and 2 awesome shows with the most passionate metalheads I think i've ever met!

As you may or may not know, the festival we were scheduled to play in Romania, the ROCK CITY FEST was postponed a week before our appearance. Now this left us with 4 flight tickets and a hotel booked for 2 nights out of our own pockets and nowhere to play... but alas, all was not lost! Black Metallers Eastern Front from Ipswich who have played Romania several times offered us an olive branch as they had managed to sort a show in Bucharest at SUBURBIA Metal Club with 3 other awesome Romanian bands.

The show was just crazy, pit after pit after pit, stage diving left right and centre and your's truly pretending to be Spiderman climbing the lighting rigs and PA Stacks and bailing into the crowd to have some fun! ;) A big thankyou to the Eastern Front guys for sorting the show and of course the promoters Kami and Co. at 'Stay Metal Forever' who filled the place with several hundred crazy metalheads and gave us a truly memorable show! And yes, this weekend saw us play at Portugal's Ilha do Ermal festival at what can only be described as the most beautiful place in the world! The show was awesome, playing at the hottest part of the day didn't slow us down and the again the passionate metalheads in the crowd didn't dissapoint! (Big thanks to the guy at the rail during Sepultura feeding me and Alex alcohol and thanking us for our live show!). And yes, a weekend of tomfoolery and meeting Idols! We shared the tourbus from the Airport to the hotel with the mighty Sepultura and were more than lucky enough to hang with them after the show at thier Dressing Room. Truly a class act and quite frankly one of the best bands I think I have ever seen (And i've seen Spinal Tap). Again a big thankyou to the Dream Seduction team for getting the festival off teh ground and a big thankyou to Inés who didn't sleep a wink over teh course of 4 days to make it all happen. Thankyou so mcuh and we really hope to back again! To many stories to tell so if you want to know, drop us a message or come say hello at a gig!

Unsigned UK Thrasher's SEREGON have been confirmed to play Portugal’s ILHA DO ERMAL Festival set to take place 28th – 30th of August 2009 at Ilha do Ermal near Porto, Portugal. This will be SEREGON’s 3rd Major Festival this year as an Unsigned Band.

Formed in Bristol, UK in 2005, SEREGON have toured the UK Extensively and played many high profile gigs at home and abroad. Zero Tolerance Magazine named them as ‘The heaviest and most intense band on the UK Thrash Scene’ while Terrorizer readers voted them the 5th and 6th Best Unsigned band in 2007 and 2008 respectively. April 2009, the band played their first show out of the UK at Norway’s prestigious INFERNO METAL FESTIVAL in Oslo and August will see them play at Romania’s ROCK CITY Festival and now Portugal’s ILHA DO ERMAL Festival.

Hello all! Welcome to the the new and improved Official Seregon Website page where you will find all the important stuff regarding the band!

Fresh off there appearance at this years INFERNO FESTIVAL in Oslo, Norway, Seregon are off into Europe again!

Seregon are very proud to announce this weekend that they are to play Romania's ROCK CITY OPEN AIR Festival! They will be sharing the stage with such Metal Heavyweights, IMMORTAL, MAYHEM, OVERKILL, DEW SCENTED, AMON AMARTH, BLOOD RED THRONE, ONSLAUGHT and many more! We will feed you more info as we get it but yeah, AWESOME!



We will keep you posted on what we hope to be more festival appearances this year as well as news on our UK tour we are booking for November this year as well!

New CD wise, we head into the Studio with producer / guitarist Charlie 'Chuck' Creese of Burning Skies on the 01/06/09 to record 6 new tracks for a follow up EP Release for the 3rd 1/4 of 2009! :D So much more info will be rolling through as we record etc. so keep checking back!

We're also extremley proud to announce that we have been announced as the 6th best unsigned band of 2008 by readers of Terrorizer Magazine! You may remember we were announced as the 5th best unsigned band of 2007 and cant beleive we've made the top 10 again this year! So thankyou to anyone and everyone who voted for us and hopefully see you all soon on the road! And also a big well done to WARPATH for taking the top spot and of course to friends Mutant and Amok who made the top 10 to!
